Name: GX-17 Tirion
Height: 29.4 meters
Weight: 8000 tonnes
Armour rating: medium
Power-source: on-board Macrolitihium pair-annihilation generatorThe GX-17 Tirion
is a Gerudo-class mech that stands at 29 and a half meters tall. it's a less standard mech than the Tellar, and is much smaller than the Tellar's 50 meters. however, what it lacks in size it makes up for in many areas, namely speed; The Tirion is flight capable owing to large boosters on the of the lower legs (the intakes for which can be seen on the front of the lower leg plates), which the exhaust taking the form of a strip going down the back of the leg, these allowing maximum speeds exceeding 300MPH, the Tirion is capable of walking and running on its pointed "feet" thanks to a powerful gyroscopic stabiliser, and can run at high speed thanks to them, however, pilots tend to prefer using the boosters to glide just above the ground, as this allows both better manoeuvrability and higher speed. the gyroscopic stabiliser system also allows for unprecedented stability during flight.
The Tirion's standard load-out consists of a DVN-067 mech sub-machine gun and a 833-K high-frequency knife.The DVN-067
is the standard sub-machine gun for mechs, and boasts a high fire rate and impressive stopping power and damage thanks to its 20CM rounds. Rounds are not propelled using conventional methods (exploding an amount of gunpowder to propel a bullet) the bullets are propelled using a railgun system, (using power directly from the mech) this not only increases fire-rate (as the bullets are merely pushed down onto the rail and instantly propelled forward), it decreases the number of moving parts, it also makes it possible to use explosive rounds (and other similar ammo types that could be compromised by the explosions in conventional propulsion), and also means that there are no shells to eject, which would fall to the ground and possibly damage allied personnel or material. The magazine is top mounted to make it easier to reload and can hold 60 200x520mm rounds (yes, the case of these rounds is over a meter long. this is a very big mech.) because of the fact that the bullets are "double stacked" in the mag, which effectively doubles the magazine size. It also comes with different magazines which can contain any of the following enhancements:
- blackrem (strict usage only, hand load, very small number supplied)
The standard load-out includes standard rounds and anti-material rounds, however other rounds can be requisitioned on demand). At 900 rounds per minute fire rate, this gun will empty its clip in roughly 4 seconds of sustained fire, which is quite a long time for high-fire-rate machine guns. As this is a mech, the gun does not require iron-sights, the mech instead relies on a laser mounted on the gun below the barrel, this laser interacts with the mech allowing it to be able to aim without conventional aiming methods. This weapon is short-medium rage, working best at distances of roughly 100-750 meters. The 833-K4Y HF Knife
commonly referred to as the "B-K Knife" is a non-standard piece of equipment which is loaded-out to The Tirion because it's speed and manoeuvrability make it a perfect candidate for close quarters combat. The B-K Knife is built with a carbon fibre frame, handle and spine and a detachable high-speed steel blade that comes with 2 replacements as standard, though more can be requisitioned if required. the blade itself is a very strong, very sharp cutting edge, however this is not where the blades true function comes in; the blade has a high-frequency device in the hilt which vibrates the blade along the spine and the across the blade edge, this vibrates the blade at an extremely high-frequency allowing it to cut through almost all materials at the molecular level, allowing it to cleave a punch through armour plates like air. The B-K Knife is extremely lethal to enemy mechs as it cuts trough any armour plates or energy shields like they weren't there, and cuts straight into internal workings and through limbs. when this extremely lethal blade is combined with the speed and agility of the Tirion it is a force to be reckoned with this, and because of this function, the main purpose of Tirion mechs is to take out enemy mechs with little or not damage to allied material. The B-K Knife also has a loop on the end of the handle, which attaches to a clip, that in turn is attached to a high-tensile cable reel mounted inside the Tirion's left arm, this means that the B-K Knife can be thrown, or even swung around to increase it's effective range and then retracted on command back the hand, this increases the lethality of the weapon as does it's range. In conclusion
this is an extremely powerful mech, extremely fast and agile, although it effectively fulfils the "assassin" class as it's main purpose it to destroy enemy mechs. uses speed and agility to avoid fire and find cover, while rushing in close to take out enemies with it's B-K Knife. they tend to work in teams of 2-3 very effectively.
This was super awesome and fun to draw xP i drew the head then couldn't think how to do the neck for about 4 days... then managed to do it and spent the next few days drawing this. i'm really liking this and i think it's gonna replace the Tellar as my favourite so far xP
im planning on painting this, and maybe even doing a 3D model of it over the next few weeks, so you all might ave that to look forward to
anyway i hope you guys enjoy
i'm sorry i don't upload stuff nearly as much as i should, but i have decided im gonna be drawing a lot more from now on Drawn on A4 paper with a 2B mechanical pencil, retouched in photoshop
